As part of their series on new immigrants to the USA, "Remade in America: The newest immigrants and their impact on America", the New York Times has included an interactive immigration map.
It's a great graphical representation of American immigration.
The map isn't just about new immigrants — you can se the settlement patterns of immigrants since the 1880s up to the present day. You can even break it down into immigrants from continents and from specific countries. Check out the immigration patterns for Norwegians and Swedes, as example.
