If you're a Scandinavian enthusiast who may be traveling to Latin America, you might want to be aware that there are a number of Nordic folk dance groups there — as well as musicians who play. They are having a festival in May 2009 in Buenos Aires and sent me the following information:

There already six groups registered. A group from Brazil will be joining five groups from Argentina:

- Dansk folkedans group of Tres Arroyos (Argentina)
- Dansk folkedans group "Skaal" of San Carlos de Bariloche (Argentina)
- Scandinavian folkedans group "Den Nordiska Dansgruppen" of Oberå¡ (Argentina)
- Svensk folkedans group "Svenska Danser" of Ijuå (Brasil)
- Dansk folkedans group "DUBA" (Dansk Ungdomsforening i Buenos Aires) of Bs As (Argentina)
