Øystein Sunde: Soga om Harald Jordfreser

Justa a quick reminder that our broadcast time is now Fridays at 1 p.m. CT and Mondays at 7 p.m. CT on air or online at KYMNRadio.net -- or anytime here on the Multe Music site.

Øystein Sunde is a master musician, lyricist and humorist in Norway and a musical icon. I compare him to a cross between Randy Newman and Jerry Reed.

Sometimes he includes humorous stories in his presentations. Here he tells the story of the little-known Norwegian king Harald Jordfreser. I love the humor in this.

I would love to have a translation of this someday for those who don't understand Norwegian. I understand a lot of this routine, but I continue to find jokes and understand more about the wordplay that Sunde uses.

I think it's a great story. Hope you do, too!
