Justa a quick reminder that our broadcast time is now Fridays at 1 p.m. CT and Mondays at 7 p.m. CT on air or online at KYMNRadio.net -- or anytime here on the Multe Music site.

From the "Where are they now?" file . . . Yesterday, a Twitter contact (@micah_taylor) posted the following tweet:

YES! Swedish Dance Bands From the 70's – http://is.gd/3bqk – My fav is the "Teddy Boys".

Tonny's Dansband

The link led to a page at Yemii.com with a collection of photos of Swedish dance bands from the 1970s.

One of my favorite pictures is of the dansband, Tonny's. They're pretty tame compared to the rest, but just look at those jeans!

I have recordings by a couple of these groups, some of which are very danceable.

But the costumes…those need to stay in the 1970s as part of the historical (or perhaps hysterical) record.

I showed the photos to a friend who laughed himself into tears.

What were some of these groups thinking?? "Ja, vi er så kuuul…"

And they all look soooo Swedish . . .
