Hanne Boel: Don't Know Much About Love

Hanne Boel is one of Denmark's most popular singers for more than 20 years. She is often called "Denmark's Tina Turner", in part because she sings in an R&B style.

Here she is performing one of her biggest hits, "Don't Know Much About Love". The video is from a concert recorded for Danish Broadcasting's "Under åben himmel" program — one of Scandinavia's open-air concert TV programs that are so very popular in the summertime. The concert was held in the little town of Hirtshals located in northern Denmark by the North Sea.

I've been able to acquire a few of Boel's recordings and like some of them very much. Hope you enjoy getting to know her, too!
