Folque was a Norwegian group that came into being because of the influence of British folk rock groups such as Fairport Convention and Pentangle. Some consider Folque the most influential Norwegian folk-rock band of its era.
I have a number of Folque recordings, some of which I share on the show from time to time. The tunes really hold up well.

It's not easy to find live videos of the group on the Internet — most of them are videos with still shots put together by fans — but I recently found one of the group at a concert in the last few years.
Here we have a video of a reconstituted Folque that was recorded at a concert in April 2004. The song is "Dansevise (Dance Song)" off of their album, Vardøger. Take a look at some of the pioneers of Norwegian progressive folk rock!
There are a couple of sites that have some great information on Folque, such as ProgArchives.come and Alex Gitlin's site. Folque also now has a MySpace page for fans to connect.
